which deliver unlimited mains pressure hot water, rapid central heating and
have the advantage of Gledhill’s unique SWITCH built-in emergency back-up
system. Bellway Homes had complete flexibility when designing the apartments because the GulfStream combined primary storage unit can be located virtually anywhere thanks to it’s 60mm fan-assisted flue systems. The Amari Court Development, located close to the Bournemouth Pier, consists of fourteen three-bedroom apartments in private landscaped gardens with secure underground parking. Each of the apartments is fitted out to a high standard with bespoke kitchen design and built in kitchen appliances, prices start from £420,000 Bellway Homes commented: “GulfStream
perfectly compliments the upmarket appeal of the Amari Court Development;
delivering ‘power shower’ hot water and ultra responsive central
heating. GulfStream met all our requirements and offered many other additional
benefits.” |

The thermal store principle reverses the conventional primary and secondary water functions. Primary water from the boiler goes into the thermal store, while secondary water flows directly from the cold mains into the plate heat exchanger, where it is heated by the store before being delivered to the taps for that "power shower" performance. It is also unique in offering as standard the Gledhill SWITCH electric emergency back-up system that maintains heating and hot water in the event of the gas supply or boiler failure, by employing a high performance electric heating source – the equivalent of a 30,000 BTU boiler. Gledhill chairman Houghton Gledhill explains: “The use of GulfStream at Amari Court demonstrates how choosing the right appliance can add value for the developer and contractor, as well as for the end user. GulfStream’s flexible flueing arrangement frees developers from the need to site a heating appliance on an outside wall, and simplifies the location of gas and water services, in turn enabling the designer to capitalise on the available space.” |
