Working with leading solar panel manufacturer Sonnenkraft, Gledhill is providing a single source solution to enable new homes developers and installers to take full advantage of the opportunity presented by renewable energy hot water and heating.

Utilising the Gledhill BoilerMate Sol OV for new build properties with open vented systems, and the BoilerMate Sol SP for existing homes with a Y or S plan installation, each of the packages will provide solar energy for ultra efficient heating and hot water.

Both come complete with Gledhill’s HE condensing boiler where required, and a choice of flat plate or evacuated tube solar collectors. A fixing kit to fit the panels into the tiles or flush with the roof is also included.

Both the pumping station and solar controller are integrated into the BoilerMate primary store, eradicating the need for a separate microprocessor on the wall. This highly intelligent control package monitors the energy input from the solar panels taking into account domestic demand, and modulates the speed of all the pumps accordingly. A top up from the boiler will only be initiated if necessary ensuring ultimate customer convenience with maximum energy efficiency.

Future developments will also see the BoilerMate incorporate a store controller with a glass panel display for diagnostic use by the installer or service engineer as well as providing temperature information and solar gain to the homeowner.

These new all-in-one packages will enable quicker, simpler installation as the solar circuit is prefabricated, and all components are perfectly technically matched. Full installation instructions are provided with each package and product and installation training is available if required.
