| Plumbers
and heating engineers installing new domestic systems are being encouraged to
use manifold sets now available from Gledhill to ensure a perfectly balanced
flow of hot and cold water to taps and showers fed by high output thermal stores,
and effectively eliminate the risk of underfloor leaks. The manifold sets are supplied complete with flow regulators, isolation valves and filters, enabling swift on-site installation. In addition to balancing the flow to each outlet from a single connection, the system means each water feed can be easily isolated for ease of maintenance. Sandy Gataora, Technical Director for the Gledhill Group explains: “Domestic heating and hot water systems have made huge advances in terms of sophistication and output to meet the demands of today’s multi-bathroom homes. But few pipework installations recognise that fact or take full advantage of the aids available to gain the maximum benefit from units such as thermal stores. “The manifold systems are designed to meet the increasing demand for perfectly balanced systems. Moreover they also address the house builders’ need to reduce snagging and call-backs, and cut installation time on site. |

option significantly cuts the hours spent in second fix on site, and removes
the possibility of leaks between floors because joints between the manifolds
and the terminals can eliminated, especially if push fit plastic piping
is
used.” The hot and cold manifolds can be installed at either high or low level depending on the space available in the airing cupboard. Two sets are available – Set 1 has 7 hot and 11 cold water fittings and is suitable for homes with one bathroom, one en-suite shower room and one cloakroom. Set 2 has 9 hot and 13 cold fittings and is suitable for homes with two bathrooms, one en-suite shower room, one cloakroom and one utility room. |
