BoilerMate SP: A-Class Above The Rest
3
Gledhill Water Storage has launched the latest addition to its best-selling BoilerMate A-Class appliance range – an evolution of the SysteMate A-class. BoilerMate A-Class SP

The smaller, lighter yet equally as powerful BoilerMate SP has been specifically designed for use in sealed primary circuit systems, delivering mains pressure hot water at high flow rates without the need for a pressure and temperature relief valve.

There are five models in the range, able to provide heating and hot water to suit homes with up to six bedrooms and either three bathrooms and two showers, 1 bathroom and four showers, or four bathrooms.

Each model will produce more than twice the hot water per hour of most stainless unvented cylinders, with a hot water output of up to 35 litres per minute. This will fill a bath in less than four minutes and drive a powerful shower without the need for expensive pumps.

All system components are factory fitted, tested and enclosed within an attractive casing, making installation time a matter of minutes. The BoilerMate SP also comes complete with Gledhill's SWITCH emergency electrical back-up system that provides both heating and hot water at the touch of a button should a boiler problem occur.

As a manual fill system, the BoilerMate SP eradicates the need for an overflow or run-off pipe, and all controls and pipe-work are mounted on the front face of the unit for ease of installation and maintenance. Gledhill's revolutionary design enables rapid second fixing using copper or approved plastic piping.

Unlike unvented cylinders, BoilerMate A-Class models do not require an annual service as the appliances' advanced construction ensures a long life. The primary store design also removes the need for annual checks on sacrificial anodes, found on many unvented units.

The A-Class range also comes with an automatic resistance to scaling as the immersion heater and primary coil can never scale because they are in primary water. The secondary side is also designed to cope with the most hard water situations, but for extreme situations a Gledhill in-line scale inhibitor can be fitted for very little extra cost.

All models have been tested by WRAS, a member of the European Organisation for Technical Approvals (EOTA) and found to comply with Water Regulations. In performance, it complies with the requirements of BS6700 and meets the NHBC criteria for domestic properties.
