Gledhill has been at the forefront of the
revolution that has taken place in recent years in the provision of domestic
heating and hot water. The demands for powerful yet energy efficient systems
designed for the increasing number of multi-bathroom homes highlighted a requirement
for a range of systems capable of meeting those needs - whatever the chosen
energy source.
Gledhill
appliances designed to work in conjunction with gas and
oil boilers offer:
- Mains pressure domestic hot water without temperature and pressure relief
pipework and without the need for safety valves which require an annual safety
check
- All the system components mounted
on the front of the unit - a neat, easy to install package
- A fast response to demands for heating - essential to meet the demands
of modern lifestyles
- A facility which will allow remote monitoring and system diagnostics
In
addition to over 300 staff, the Gledhill companies have a blend of 8 first
and second generation family members within the industry. The two companies
comprise the largest boiler and storage vessel expertise in the UK and the
longest established under the same family ownership. We believe we now have
the highest level of skills and experience of any manufacturer in our industry.
Our
appliances designed to work with electricity offer:
- Hot water stores to work
with off peak electricity without the need for any pressure
relief or runaway of any kind
- Wet central heating and hot water systems to work with off peak tariffs,
especially designed for apartments
We
are committed to minimising the environmental impact of our operations and
work hard to comply with all relevant environmental legislation. We are
pro-active in the recycling of old copper cylinders and can offer incentives
to customers in order to help reduce the impact of waste on the environment.
In all Gledhill products there is no release of ozone depleting substances
or harmful emissions. They have an Ozone Depletion Potential of zero and
a Global Warming Potential of one, in compliance with BRE Ecohomes specification.
Our copper vessels are
totally recyclable.
The
main Gledhill appliance factory at Blackpool employs state of the art computer-controlled
machinery and ‘lean’ manufacturing systems to meet advanced
quality standards. This has resulted in Gledhill becoming the first within
the industry to achieve ‘World Class Manufacturer’ status under
the CBI PROBE scheme for promoting business excellence. We have held Registered
Firm status since 1989, with a quality system in accordance with ISO 9001:2000
in place at all our manufacturing sites, and we are proud to display the
prestigious BSI quality symbol.
