With no runaway
You can site ElectraMate A-Class anywhere. Although the heating system is sealed the primary store is open vented, so there is no need for pressure or temperature relief valves or associated runaway pipework from the ElectraMate itself which can save tens of thousands of pounds in an apartment building.
PVCu soil stacks are failing when unvented cylinders discharge into them and this product does not need any form of discharge.
ElectraMate A-Class can provide up to of 35 litres/minute domestic hot water raised through 35°C directly from the mains. With the standard E10 model up to 90% of its energy usage taken at off-peak rates. On this basis, the running costs are comparable to gas heating, when annual servicing for a gas system is taken into account. An optional MT model is available for other tariffs. However any tariff should allow some electricity to be taken during the day at off peak rates.
Now simpler in operation
State of the art technology means that few controls are needed and with simplified switch gear working in timed operation, the load on the electrical supply is minimised.
ElectraMate A-Class is supplied shrink wrapped with in-built moulded lifting handles. All controls and pipe-work ar emounted on the front face of the unit for ease of installation and maintenance. Gledhill’s revolutionary design enables rapid second fixing using copper or approved plastic piping.

All system components are installed, factory-tested and enclosed within an attractive steel casing. The highest level of environmentally-friendly insulation ensures reduced standing losses and low cupboard temperatures.
No annual service required
The appliance's advanced construction ensures a long lifeand the primary store design removes the need for annual checks on sacrificial anodes, found on many unvented units.

Approvals
ElectraMate A-Class has been tested by WRAS, a member of the European Organisation for Technical Approvals (EOTA) and found to comply with Water Regulations. In performance, it complies with the requirements of BS6700 and meets the NHBC criteria for domestic properties. Gledhill water Storage Ltd also operates a quality management system audited and accepted by the BSI in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001:2000.
