Replacement Cylinders

We offer a wide range of cylinders available for the replacement market and all comply with 2010 Part L1B Building Regulations which is the requirement for replacement cylinders.

The perfect replacement

The EnviroFoam range of cylinders is the standard like for like replacement for an existing hot water cylinder within a domestic property. These are the EnviroFoam Copper and EnviroFoam Stainless cylinders, which comply with both the dimensional requirements of BS1566 and 2010 Part L1B Building Regulations for replacement cylinders.

Future proofing a replacement cylinder installation

Whilst going to the cost and upheavel of having a cylinder replaced why not future proof it by fitting an alternative energy ready cylinder? This is quite popular with solar cylinders in particular where a solar ready cylinder can be fitted at little extra cost and the solar coil connected in parallel with the boiler coil until the householder is ready to complete the upgrade by fitting solar panels. Bespoke cylinder manufacture

If a standard cylinder is not the right solution we would be delighted to manufacture a bespoke copper cylinder to your exact requirements. Each of our nationwide network of super depot manufacturing units can offer this service and in many cases we will be able to offer extremely rapid availability often on a next day basis if there is an urgent requirement.

Upgrading to mains pressure hot water

Alternative Energy solutions

Where a property is to be fitted with alternative energy, be it solar thermal, heat pump or solid fuel heat source then a new hot water cylinder will be required to make the alternative energy heat source work effectively. Don't believe anyone who tries to tell you otherwise!

We would especially recommend our Torrent range of thermal stores as the ideal solution as these will take energy input from a wide variety of alternative energy sources and make the energy available for both hot water AND heating. This is not possible with an unvented cylinder where you will only get a contribution to the hot water. The Torrent range comes with a full range of tappings as standard meaning, for example, that a wood burning stove or solar thermal can be added as an upgrade to the property at a later stage and the hot water cylinder will be ready to work with it.
